【Guangdong】Teriyaki Beef Skewers
Overview
It’s been a while since I’ve had a barbecue. The beef, onions, and red peppers go well together. I happen to have teriyaki sauce at home, and it tastes delicious and fragrant when cooked.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Cut the beef into long strips and put it into a bowl. Add 1/2 tsp black pepper, 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/3 tsp soda ash, 2 tbsp cooking wine, 1/3 tsp sugar. Marinate until the meat is sticky to the touch. Add 1 tbsp of water. Grip the beef with your hands to absorb all the water. Add 1 tbsp of water. Put it in a tight box in the refrigerator overnight. Soak bamboo skewers overnight. Cut onions and red peppers into cubes.
-
First insert the vegetable slices into the bamboo skewer, then insert one end of the beef, and then insert the vegetable slices, which means that the beef is sandwiched between the vegetable slices in a "hanging" shape;
-
Brush a layer of vegetable oil on the bottom of the baking pan and add the threaded beef skewers;
-
In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce. Stir evenly into the barbecue sauce that coats the surface of the meat skewers;
-
Spread the barbecue sauce evenly on the top of the skewers, bake at 425°F for 20-25 minutes;
-
Then flip the meat skewers 180°, apply another layer of barbecue sauce, and bake for 20 minutes until the meat is cooked.
