Walnut cake in memory
Overview
When I was a kid, I thought that anyone who could make such a crunchy snack was amazing. I didn’t know what kind of method was used to make a snack so delicious. When I bought an oven and learned to make all kinds of snacks, I hoped that one day I could go home and make them for my father. But now, first of all, I still can't go back to my hometown to place these precious tools. Secondly, my father has diabetes. He loves sweets so much, but now these snacks have become taboo items that cannot be touched. I feel so pitiful when I think about it. When I went back the year before last, I went to the supermarket with my aunt to buy food. She stopped for a moment when she saw these snacks, and I bought them for her. A few days after I came back, my father told me that I am not allowed to buy these snacks for my aunt in the future. She gained a few pounds immediately after eating them, right? I looked at my aunt who was smiling behind my father and couldn't help but laugh. It turned out that she couldn't eat sweet pasta. Auntie was a little fat, so for her health, controlling her weight was a daily priority. The snacks she loved were the biggest killers. I always want to return to my hometown early and be able to take care of my father and aunt, but they always hope that our work and income can be better, so we can only go back once or twice a year. Every time we go home, we stay at home, hoping to make up for this year. When I saw this recipe, I wondered if it was the peach pastry snack I bought in a small county in my hometown, so I tried to make it. When the result came out, I tasted it and suddenly felt a strong sense of homesickness. This is the taste, the taste in my memory.
