【Homemade Honey Red Beans】--- Sweet and fragrant taste of happiness
Overview
I believe everyone who loves food is well aware of the nutrition of red beans. It can not only be eaten as porridge, but can also be used to make mooncakes, bread, cakes, snacks, etc.~ Or when drinking porridge or yogurt, add some to the bowl, which not only adds color, but also increases nutrition. You can buy ready-made honey red beans in the market, but I feel that the taste is incomparable with those made by myself. Moreover, every one I make is smooth and plump. The sugar is added instead of cyclamate. In addition, no preservatives are added. You can make as much as you like and then cook after eating. Because making homemade honey red beans is not a hassle at all.

Steps
-
Soak the red beans in water overnight, pick out the bad beans, and wash them.
-
Add an appropriate amount of water to the pot, add the soaked red beans and cook until the water boils, then cook for about 2 minutes.
-
Remove and wash. (This step is like blanching when we cook, it can effectively remove the beany smell, leaving only the sweetness of red beans)
-
Pour the washed red beans into a casserole (you can also use a pressure cooker if you don’t have a casserole), and add an appropriate amount of water again. The amount of water is based on the height of about 1 cm below the red beans as a reference)
-
Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes.
-
Cook until there is just no water in the pot, then turn off the heat.
-
Spread the cooked red beans evenly into the container, until one layer of red beans and one layer of white sugar are spread. (The amount of sugar depends on your preference, but too much is not recommended)
-
Cover, cool, then refrigerate overnight.
