Quickly frozen glutinous rice balls are defrosted naturally at room temperature. Use a toothpick to poke several holes in each glutinous rice dumpling. The holes should be deep enough to just reach the filling.

Heat the oil until it is 60% hot, add the glutinous rice balls and fry over medium heat until the surface is slightly brown.

Remove, drain and serve on a plate.
