Pinch off both ends of beans.

Break into pieces, wash and drain.

Mince star anise and garlic and set aside.

Heat the cold oil in a pan and saute the star anise until fragrant.

Add the beans and stir-fry.

Add light soy sauce and continue to stir-fry evenly.

Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Add appropriate amount of water to boil and simmer over medium heat for ten minutes until soft.

Add minced garlic to enhance aroma.

Stir well and serve.
