Prepare fresh lotus root section

Peel the lotus root and cut into thin slices

Blanch the cut lotus root slices in boiling water and remove the water to drain the lotus root. This way the lotus root will taste crisper and more refreshing

Dissolve Heinz ketchup, sugar, vinegar and salt with water to make a sauce

Make oil in a pot and add chopped green onion to the pot

Add the blanched lotus root slices to the pot and stir-fry
