Steps
-
Bring the light cream + butter to a boil and turn off the heat
-
Add chocolate while still hot
-
Stir with a spatula until the chocolate is completely melted
-
Add the powdered sugar to the egg whites in two batches and beat until stiff peaks form, as shown in the picture when the beater is lifted up and a sharp corner forms
-
Add egg yolk to warm step 3 and mix well
-
Pour in the mixed and sifted powder (cake powder + cocoa powder) at one time
-
Fold in the whipped egg whites
-
Mix the batter quickly
-
Pour into the mold, shake it a few times to knock out air bubbles, and bake at 150 degrees for 50 minutes
-
After unmoulding, cut the cake into two pieces, place the smaller one on top of the larger one, and then trim it slightly to make it rounder. I forgot to take a picture
-
Beat the buttercream until fluffy and set aside
-
A slice of cake, a layer of buttercream
-
Use a piping tip No. 349 or No. 352 to extrude feathers all over the body, and cut circles out of the trimmed cake base to make eyes
-
Make it golden brown, and use a No. 16 or other star decorating tip to pipe out the mouth and top of the head
-
Use chocolate ganache to pipe out branches around the plate
-
Place mounted daffodils, green leaves, and sprinkle with sugar beads for decoration
