Portuguese egg tart

Portuguese egg tart

Overview

Portuguese egg tart, also known as Portuguese cream tart, caramel macchiato egg tart, and Portuguese tart in Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong, is a small buttery pastry pie, a type of egg tart, characterized by its burnt surface (caramelized after overheating of sugar). Every Sunday my family likes me to make egg tarts for them to eat. My nephew says it’s better than the ones at KFC, and my husband and mother-in-law also say it’s delicious. Now I’m going to share this Portuguese egg tart made by a lazy person. It tastes really good. If you are free, you might as well spare half an hour to dedicate a full heart to your family.
