Grapefruit tea
Overview
Grapefruit tea is a traditional health drink in southern China using grapefruit, sucrose and other raw materials. It is recorded in the "Compendium of Materia Medica" that food can remove bad gas in the intestines and stomach, detoxify from alcohol, cure the breath of drinkers, prevent food cravings, reduce phlegm and relieve coughs, and making tea from grapefruit has been a habit in ancient my country. Grapefruit is high in vitamin C, which can lower blood cholesterol. Drinking honey grapefruit tea brewed with warm water in the morning can help cleanse the stomach. It is suitable for refrigeration. After opening, it should not be stored for too long under high temperature conditions, especially in hot summer, otherwise it will easily become moldy and grow fine white hairs. It cannot be eaten, otherwise it will be harmful to health.

Gently rub the grapefruit with salt to make the skin cleaner, then peel off the skin.

Cut the grapefruit peel into shreds and soak it in hot water for an hour to remove the bitterness.

Put a bowl of water in the pot with an appropriate amount of rock sugar and grapefruit peel and cook for about fifteen minutes. When the grapefruit peel is cooked until translucent, add the grapefruit meat. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour. When it is almost ready, add the wolfberry and cook for another ten minutes. Boil until thickened, making sure to stir frequently while cooking.

Let the cooked grapefruit cool and then add honey. Stir evenly to make honey grapefruit tea. Store it in a sealed jar in the refrigerator. Rinse it with warm water when drinking.
