Rose donkey-hide gelatin cake - simmer the hibiscus noodles slowly

First, choose donkey-hide gelatin, which is as warm as grease, with a surface like a mirror and a color like amber (mine is a bit darker). It smells like donkey hide gelatin, without fishy or other unpleasant smells.

I picked up a piece and slapped it on the table. The piece of plastic shattered like glass and the cross section was smooth

Soak donkey hide gelatin in rice wine for more than 24 hours

Fry the walnuts over low heat, don’t burn them

Remove the pits from the red dates and tear them into pieces. (If you want to save time, use seedless dates. Removing the pits makes my heart collapse!) Be careful not to touch the red dates with water!

Remove the calyx from dried roses and crush them

Weigh the wolfberry

Fry the sesame seeds (you can also buy cooked sesame seeds directly)

Rock sugar sweetbreads, try to break them up as much as possible

After the donkey-hide gelatin is completely mixed with the rice wine, pour it into a set pot (preferably not an iron pot) and simmer slowly over medium-low heat.

When the donkey-hide gelatin is boiled until thick, add rock sugar and continue to boil. Keep stirring during this period

When the donkey-hide gelatin is boiled to the point of hanging flags, add red dates, continue stirring, and cook

Take the time to prepare the mold, or cover it with a thick plastic bag or thick oil paper, or put more oil directly into the mold

Stir constantly to allow the red dates to absorb the gelatin (about 15 minutes)

When it becomes quite thick, add the walnuts

After stirring the walnuts, add sesame seeds

Stir constantly to prevent it from burning. Until it is very sticky and falls into lumps

Add the wolfberry, stir, and simmer until it becomes difficult to stir, the shovel is lifted, and the donkey-hide gelatin does not fall immediately.

Add rose petals

After quickly stirring the roses, turn off the heat immediately

Pour the donkey-hide gelatin cake into the mold, wait until the surface is no longer sticky, and then flatten the surface. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate for 24 hours.

After completely cool and solidified, remove from the mold

Just cut into pieces
