Apple Pie
Overview
I saw the apples at home sitting on the coffee table for a long time without being ignored, so I made an apple pie today. I really like the unique aroma of apples and cinnamon in the oven that fills the whole room, and pie baking is the easiest and most difficult to miss, so I, a novice baker, still feel a sense of accomplishment after making it (*^◯^*). Moreover, I changed the appearance of the abandoned apple on the coffee table, but I didn’t expect that it would become the focus of the family immediately, haha!

Soften butter in the greenhouse and cut into small pieces

Add powdered sugar in batches, add eggs and stir with a whisk

Mix well and add half a spoonful of salt. If it is salted butter, you can omit this step

Sift in the flour and knead into a ball

Just form a ball, don’t knead too much, cover the kneaded dough with a layer of plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour

Now let’s make the apple filling. First cut the apple into pieces

Melt the butter in a pan

Pour in half the brown sugar

Pour in apples and stir-fry

Pour in the other half of the brown sugar and continue frying

Mix the brown sugar well, soften the apples, add a little cinnamon powder, apple cider vinegar

Cook over low heat until the juice is reduced, then turn off the heat and cool

Take out the dough from the refrigerator, dry it into a crust and put it into a pie plate, let it rest for 15 minutes

Dry the remaining pie crust again and cut into long strips for decorative strips

Pour the cold apple filling into the pie plate and brush the surrounding area of the pie plate with egg wash

Make a cross on the pie plate and press it tightly

Brush with egg wash and let stand for 15 minutes

Put it in the oven and make appropriate adjustments according to the temperature of your own oven. Generally, the oven is preheated to 200 degrees for about 25 minutes
