Sweet Potato Pie
Overview
The vegetable oil version tastes pretty good, you can try it.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Mix flour and sugar, pour in vegetable oil
-
Use chopsticks to stir until it looks like the picture
-
Add egg liquid
-
Just knead it into a ball, don't knead it for too long. Place the kneaded dough in the refrigerator to rest for half an hour
-
Wash the sweet potatoes and microwave or steam them
-
After peeling, add an appropriate amount of milk powder. If the sweet potato is not sweet enough, add some sugar and crush it with a spoon to form a sweet potato filling
-
Take out the rested dough and divide it into two parts, one large and one small
-
Place the large dough in the middle of the plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to roll it into a thin sheet, a little larger than the mold
-
After rolling out the dough, peel off the plastic wrap and spread it on the mold (it turns out that my nine-inch pizza pan is too big, so I need to buy equipment), and press the pie crust lightly with your fingers to make it stick to the plate
-
Remove excess corners
-
Use a fork to poke small holes in the bottom of the pie crust
-
Use the same method to roll the small dough into dough, and cut it into strips evenly with a knife, about 1cm wide
-
Spread the sweet potato filling and sprinkle with a layer of coconut (you can omit the coconut if you don’t have it. My coconut has been opened for a long time and I have to find a way to use it up)
-
Arrange the small strips with a gap between the two, then place one horizontally, and then take the small strips to fill the gap. (I don’t know if I expressed it clearly. I forgot to take a picture because I made it a bit messy)
-
Lift up the small strip that was placed vertically for the first time
-
Place another one horizontally, put down the small strips that you lifted up, and finish all the operations in this way. This way, it is easier to knit, and you don’t have to worry about wearing it back and forth
-
After braiding, tidy up the excess corners. It turns out that I reserved a little less noodles, and the compilation was a bit sparse
-
Brush the surface with egg wash, bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, until the surface is golden
-
The finished product is pretty good, with crispy skin and soft filling.

Forgive me for cutting it so ugly
