Stir-fried pork slices with gourd melon and green pepper
Overview
I don’t know if gourds are available elsewhere, but they are available in Shandong where I am. The gourds are all green and long, with one end big and one small. The big one is nearly 1 meter long. The texture of the gourd is dense, and it tastes different from the watermelon. It tastes a little bit rough. Stir-fried gourds, melons, and meat are both delicious, especially when you add a little vinegar before serving. When eating gourds, be sure to buy tender gourds with fluff on the surface that can be easily moved by pinching them with your hands. There is no need to dig out the gourds, and even the flesh is not wasted when eaten together.
