Ingredients
Steps
-
Choose an appropriate amount of minced pork and minced beef, the ratio is 1:1 because the beef added to the pork will not be too dry
-
Mix together and add salt and pepper to taste
-
Heat the pan, add olive oil (the amount of oil covers the entire pan), divide the mixed pork and beef into small pieces and put them into the pan. Do not pour them all in at once. Stir fry quickly
-
Use a spatula to separate the small pieces of meat and stir-fry until the color develops
-
Pour the fried minced meat into the strainer and filter out excess fat
-
Chop the peppers, green onions, ginger, garlic, and mince the ginger and garlic. Except for the ginger, the other dosage is about 3 pieces/root/clove. The amount of ginger and garlic cut is about the same. If you don’t like the spicy taste of ginger, you can also use less, depending on your personal taste.
-
Clean the pan and add a spoonful of sesame oil
-
Add chili, garlic and ginger to the pot and stir-fry until fragrant
-
Sprinkle some brown sugar (you can search brown sugar on Baidu. It seems to be similar to brown sugar, but there is still a little difference. It should not be difficult to buy)
-
Add minced meat to the pot
-
Pour in some fish sauce to add some saltiness (if there is no fish sauce, you can use oil instead)
-
Gordon sprinkled lime zest into the pot to give the meat more flavor, and then squeezed some lime juice. In fact, I feel like it doesn’t matter if I add lime or not. If you want to add it, and limes are hard to buy, you can squeeze some lemon juice, but don’t sprinkle lemon zest (because the taste of lime is much lighter than lemon!)
-
Finally add the chopped green onions
-
Then heat briefly for 30 seconds
-
Turn off the heat and serve on a plate

In fact, Gordon also added a sauce to this dish later, but I will not describe it in detail here. Because according to us Chinese, this dish can actually be regarded as a Western-style hot stir-fry dish. So there's no need to get the lettuce slices, put the meat in, and pour the sauce over it. In step 11, you can test the saltiness of the dish. If it feels too bland, you can add some salt or cumin to taste. (It is best not to add salt, because salt and pepper have been added when mixing the minced meat at the beginning. You can control the saltiness at that time)
