How to make red bean paste
Overview
Red bean filling is a commonly used filling for home-made pasta, but I have never bought it from the supermarket for two reasons. One is that the fillings bought from outside are too sweet and have a bad taste regardless of whether they have added sugar or not. The other is that they contain additives, so I make all the fillings myself. It is not difficult but a little troublesome, but it is worth the trouble.

Ingredients
Steps
-
pound of dried red beans
-
After washing, put it in the pressure cooker and cook it. If you soak it first, it will cook faster, but cooking it directly will waste some electricity.
-
After cooking, use a food processor to beat it finely. I cooked it too much and beat it many times. I also added water when beating. I used the water used to cook red beans.
-
Beat it into a thin paste like this
-
Pour it into the pot and stir-fry. The heat should be slow otherwise the pot will be burnt.
-
Add sugar and stir-fry until sugar is dissolved and evenly distributed
-
When it becomes a bit sticky, add the starch powder and stir-fry evenly
-
Fry until it takes shape and take it out of the pan
-
Then put it in a steamer and steam it. It will be ready after 10 minutes. I fried too much and was afraid that the flour would not be cooked properly, so I steamed it for a while
-
The finished product is out. This filling is very good as a filling for various pastas.
