Lettuce can also stimulate gastrointestinal motility and has an auxiliary therapeutic effect on gastroparesis and constipation caused by diabetes. For patients with high blood pressure and heart disease, regular consumption of lettuce can promote diuresis, lower blood pressure and prevent heart rhythm disorders. The iron in lettuce is helpful in preventing and treating iron deficiency anemia. Eating some cold lettuce regularly can whet your appetite and increase your appetite. Lettuce can eliminate nitrosamines, a strong carcinogen that causes cell mutation, and has a certain effect on preventing intestinal cancer.
