Fig Jam
Overview
Figs are a fruit that is very good for health, but the harvest period of figs is very short. It always feels like they are out of season before you eat them much. So when the fresh fruits are on the market, make some jam and save them, so you can enjoy them at any time. I used the lazy method today and made it directly using the jam function of the bread machine. This way I don’t have to stir manually and save effort

Steps
-
Wash fresh figs. Although the skin of this variety of figs is green, it is very sweet and you can make delicious jam without too much sugar
-
I like figs with the skin on. The skin on figs is very thin. If you don’t like it, you can remove it
-
Stir slightly with a cooking stick. The figs are very soft when ripe, and they will basically turn into a paste after a few light beats
-
Pour into a bread pan and add sugar.
-
Add the juice of half a lemon
-
Turn on the jam function key. The end of one program is 1 hour, but the jam is not thick enough.
-
I started it again, and this time it took 45 minutes. The jam looked very thick, so I ended the program
-
When the jam is almost ready, boil the jam bottle in boiling water to sterilize it
-
After the jam is cooked, put it into a bottle while it is hot, tighten it tightly, and turn it upside down to let the air escape for about an hour, and then it can be stored. The jam made in this way will not go bad if it is stored for a year, but if you open the bottle, you must eat it as soon as possible
