Boil the pork ribs in water to remove any blood foam.

Prepare onions, ginger, dried red peppers, bay leaves, cumin, star anise, and Sichuan peppercorns.

Put onions, ginger and spices in the pot, pour a bag of yellow sauce, add light soy sauce and sugar.
