Overview
My mother-in-law was hospitalized and her sugar levels were high, so I gave her steamed cakes. Whole grains raise blood sugar slowly, hopefully it will be good for her blood sugar.

Ingredients
Steps
-
A bowl of white flour, a bowl and a half of corn noodles, two handfuls of milk powder, a small bag of yeast powder, and an egg.
-
Warm water will turn into a thick paste, which should be thicker.
-
In order to speed up the fermentation, we use a steamer to make some hot water. Turn off the heat after about 50 or 60 degrees Celsius. Put the cooked noodles on the steamer and cover them to speed up the fermentation. Stir with chopsticks for about 20 to 30 minutes until there are honeycombs inside.
-
Stir the primary fermented noodles for secondary fermentation. Once doubled in size, steam them in a pot for about thirty minutes.
-
Since my mother-in-law has a high sugar content, my cake has no sugar or dates. If you like it sweeter, you can add sugar, dates or other ingredients you like. You can also use milk instead when making the dough. Use a silicone spatula to remove the steamed cake from all sides.
-
Release the mold upside down. During the second fermentation, we can change the container, brush oil around it, and put special paper on the bottom to facilitate demoulding.
-
When you cut it open, it looked soft and the honeycomb was pretty good. It proved to be fermented very well.
-
Sugar-free, healthier for diabetic patients.
