One day, when I was passing by a Northeastern specialty store, I saw the fennel I was longing for. I was really excited! I thought I had seen it wrong, so I confirmed with the boss again that it was it. The first time I ate fennel was in the university cafeteria. At that time, I often fried it in old milk potatoes or scrambled eggs. I fell in love with its unique fragrance. Fennel doesn’t grow here in my hometown, and no one seems to eat it. So I bought some and came back to make tofu.
