【Hunan】Black sesame rice cake
Overview
Rice cake is a traditional snack food that is steamed with sticky rice or rice flour. It is easy to process, durable in storage, and can be eaten in various ways, so it is very popular among the public. In my hometown, almost every household can make rice cakes, especially grandma who makes them very well. I remember when I was a kid, my grandma would always make a big pot of steam during the Chinese New Year and holidays. My sister and I just watched eagerly. As soon as it came out of the pot, we didn't have time to let it cool, so we picked one up and stuffed it into our mouths, breathing heavily while pouring it in our mouths. The sweet taste is so nostalgic. Rather than saying it is a rice cake, it is more appropriate to say it is a rice snack. I eat boiled rice every day, but today I will change it up and give it a concave shape. Do you like such a brand-new rice snack?
