Red bean paste and water chestnut cake
Overview
Today I made some red bean paste on a whim, and I happened to see the water chestnut powder I bought some time ago! Okay, here’s a new trick! Hey ~ the finished product is quite good!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Mix 500g water and 250g water chestnut powder
-
After mixing well, I sieved it twice
-
Pour 500 grams of water and 200 grams of sugar into the pot and cook over medium heat until the sugar melts and boils, turn off the heat
-
Take a tablespoon of water chestnut powder and pour it into the sugar water and mix quickly
-
Pour the stirred sugar water into the basin of water chestnuts and stir evenly
-
After stirring well, add 100 grams of homemade red bean paste and stir well again
-
Pour into a large steaming plate, boil the water in the pot and steam over high heat for 20 minutes (the time depends on the size of the selected steaming plate, usually 20 to 30 minutes)
-
After steaming, let it cool completely. Not only will it not stick, but it will also cut easily
-
You can use your favorite mold to press out the shape or directly cut into pieces with a knife (a little corn oil on the knife can prevent sticking)
