Braised pig intestines

Pig small intestine is rich in nutrients and contains calcium, magnesium, thiamine, iron, riboflavin, manganese and other essential trace elements and minerals for the human body. However, it has a high cholesterol content and should not be eaten by those with high blood lipids and high cholesterol.

Wash the pig's small intestine repeatedly with salt three or four times. Use chopsticks to turn the small intestine over and scrub it clean.

Make water in a pot and blanch the pig intestines in the boiling water to remove the unpleasant smell.

Pick up the blanched pig intestines, cut them into 10 cm sections with scissors and rinse them repeatedly.

Prepare a large pot, pour water into it and bring to a boil, add pig intestines and all the seasonings, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium to low heat and simmer for 1 hour.

Do not cover the pot while cooking to allow the dirty smell to evaporate.

After an hour, remove the braised pig intestines, cut them into sections, and serve on a plate. Pour over the marinade and sprinkle with coriander. It’s delicious and chewy.
