Simple Braised Hairtail Fish
Overview
I don't really like fish, but I love hairtail. When I was a kid, I loved the fried hairtail made by my dad. In my impression, my father rarely cooks, but the food he cooks will completely satisfy my appetite. During the Chinese New Year when I was a kid, my dad would always fry a bowl of hairtail himself. I happily ate while watching my dad busy at work, and kept asking questions. Later, when I grew up, I couldn't eat my father's fried hairtail often. During the New Year, my father also made a pot of fried hairtail and kept it for me to eat when I got home. Dad thought it was cold in winter so he didn't put it in the refrigerator and put it in a cold room. When I returned, the fish was still in a basin, almost ruined, and they were reluctant to eat it. . . I can't help crying every time I think about this. When I was a child, I didn't know it was love, but when I grew up, I was moved to tears. Now that I have a child, I still cook hairtail for her. I hope that when she grows up, she will be able to recall that the taste of fish is actually the taste of her mother's love.
