Stir-fried sesame leaves with bean paste: prevent heatstroke and cool down on the dining table
Overview
Today, as soon as the rain stopped, the weather became hot again. Our little pig is sick again. Traditional Chinese medicine says that in summer, the diet should be light and proper food should be taken to prevent heatstroke and cool down. Fresh winter melon rind was also specially added to the prescription. After going to the pharmacy and the market, I saw fresh hemp leaves while buying winter melon, so I took a handful home. This hemp leaf is usually taken from the young leaves of jute or kenaf, which can help digest food and appetite, clear away heat and relieve heat. On the summer table, sesame leaves can be added to various dishes, but the most common one with Chaoshan characteristics is seasoned with bean paste and stir-fried. Fresh hemp leaves are slightly astringent and need to be boiled with water before consumption. The processed sesame leaves are stir-fried with some minced garlic and bean paste. It is sweet and delicious, fragrant and refreshing. It is a good choice for rice and porridge.
