Astragalus Lily and Barley Porridge
Overview
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that lily has the effects of moistening the lungs, relieving coughs, clearing the heart and calming the nerves. It is commonly used for coughs caused by dryness of the lungs and restlessness, and is especially suitable for nourishing the lungs and stomach. Cook together with astragalus and barley to make porridge. Astragalus can nourish lung qi, lily can nourish lung yin, and can play a very good role in nourishing lung qi. Adding barley can regulate chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, etc. caused by weak lung qi and phlegm and dampness.
