Overview

It will be February 2 soon, and the custom in my hometown is to eat steamed fried cakes (fried cakes). My grandma often made them for us when she was still alive. I probably learned more than half of it! It smells like grandma!

Steps

  1. Blanch the two kinds of noodles with boiling water until no loose powder is visible

  2. Remove the pits from the dates and cut into small pieces

  3. Steam the hot noodles and dates in a drawer, it will take about ten minutes

  4. Place the steamed noodles in a basin and let it cool before kneading into dough

  5. Add brown sugar and sesame seeds to the steamed dates, add some sesame oil, mix well and set aside

  6. Make into evenly sized portions

  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry until golden brown and take it out
