Milk toast
Overview
Milk toast is a highly nutritious bread, without adding a drop of water. It uses milk and flour, and also adds milk powder to increase the milk flavor and nutrition. You can cut the bread into slices and spread it with peanut butter, jam, or sandwich slices of cheese, etc., but I think it’s delicious just as it is.

Steps
-
Pour milk and egg liquid into the bread bucket in sequence, pour sugar and salt diagonally, add milk powder and flour, add yeast on top of the flour, put the bread bucket into the Dongling JD08 bread machine, select the dough program for 13 minutes, the dough mixing time will be different for different models of bread machines
-
At the end of the first kneading, add butter cut into small pieces and continue kneading for 18 minutes
-
The dough is kneaded to a complete stage and can stretch out the glove film
-
Divide the dough into 7 equal portions, each portion is about 72 grams, roll into a round shape, and cover with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out
-
Roll the dough into an oval shape
-
Roll it up again and cover it with plastic wrap after each one is done
-
Then roll the dough into a length of more than 30 cm
-
Roll up and put into a 300g toast box. A 300g toast box can hold 4 bread embryos. I use a pound cake mold to place the remaining 3 bread embryos (if you use a 450g toast box, divide the dough into 3 parts and follow the same steps)
-
Put the bread embryo into the Dongling K40C oven and ferment it at 35 degrees for about 40 minutes. Place a bowl of warm water in the oven to maintain humidity. When the bread dough has fermented for 7 or 8 minutes, take it out and brush the surface with a layer of whole egg liquid
-
Put it into the bottom layer of the oven that has been preheated to 170 degrees and 185 degrees, and bake for about 30 minutes. When baking for 10 minutes, the surface will be seriously colored, and you can cover it with tin foil to prevent it from getting too dark. (The actual baking temperature depends on the temperament of your own oven. If your oven is the same model as mine, you can refer to this temperature)
-
After baking, take out the bread, shake out the heat, turn it sideways on a rack to cool, put uneaten bread into a plastic bag, tie the bag tightly, and store at room temperature
