A small piece of bacon and a strip of sausage.

Wash the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes. Apply lard on the bottom of the clay pot, add the soaked rice and bring to a boil over medium heat.

When the water is slightly dry, add the cured meat and drizzle a little oil along the side of the pot, cover the pot, turn to low heat and simmer for ten minutes.

Open the lid and crack an egg in the middle, turn off the heat and cover and simmer for another ten minutes.

Add the cooked vegetables and pour over the cooked sauce.
