Braised duck with potatoes
Overview
The first time I saw ducks being sold, I tied the beaks and feet of the ducks and carried them on a pole. I bought one and my mother had half of it. I happen to have two large potatoes at home that I dug earlier. So I made a tough dish.

Ingredients: duck, potatoes, bean paste, beer, star anise, ginger, cinnamon, bay leaves, garlic, red pepper.

Wash the potatoes and cut into large pieces. Set aside.

Heat the cold oil in the pan, add ginger, star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves, garlic and red pepper and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add shelduck and stir-fry.

Add a spoonful of bean paste.

Add a spoonful of tempeh.

Add soy sauce.

Add cooking wine.

Add beer.

Add potatoes.

Add sugar and MSG, bring to a boil over high heat, and simmer slowly for about 45 to 60 minutes.
