Overview
Baguette is the most traditional French bread. The representative of French bread is baguette. The original meaning of baguette is a long gem. The recipe of French baguette is very simple, using only four basic ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast. Usually no sugar, no milk powder, no or almost no oil is added. The wheat flour is unbleached and contains no preservatives. In terms of shape and weight, each piece is 76cm long and weighs 250g. Mix the yeast with water and let it sit for a while.

Prepare flour in a basin and add salt.

Stir the dough while adding flour.

Knead into a smooth dough. Let rise for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into three equal portions.

Wake up for 10 minutes after rolling into a ball.

Take a piece of dough and roll it into a tongue shape.

Roll up with the seam facing down.

Once everything is done, place it on a non-stick baking sheet.

Place in the oven for fermentation, place a small bowl of water underneath to maintain humidity.

After it has fermented to double its original size, sift in the dry flour and cut a few slits in the bread.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and bake for 20 minutes, then adjust to 200 degrees and bake for 10 minutes. The temperature and time are subject to your own oven.
