Soak mung beans one day in advance

It took me half a day to remove the outer skin of the mung beans. It was really tedious. It was best to peel the mung beans together as a family.

Steam the peeled mung beans until they can be easily crushed by hand

While hot, use a clay press to press it into a puree

Put butter in hot pan

Add the mung bean puree and stir-fry evenly over low heat

Add sugar and maltose and continue to stir-fry over low heat

Stir-fry constantly until the mung bean paste forms a non-stick ball, then let it cool

Roll the bean paste filling into balls and set aside

Wrap the bean paste filling into the mung bean paste like making glutinous rice balls

Use the mold to press out the pattern and it is ready to eat
