Taro cake

Overview

When I taste this, it reminds me of my favorite dish when I was a kid. I made my hometown taro cake on the 14th day of the seventh lunar month!

  1. Wash the pork belly and cut the fat into thumb-sized pieces!

  2. Put the fat into the pot and fry it!

  3. After frying the shrimp for a while, add the pork belly and garlic into the wok and stir-fry together. Let cool and set aside!

  4. Stir-fry the ingredients and set aside to cool!

  5. Put the evenly mixed taro cake into a plate, and it’s ready to be steamed in a steamer!

  6. After the water in the steamer boils, put the taro cake into the steamer and start steaming it for half an hour!

  7. After half an hour, you can start the pot. It’s already steamed. Pour some lard on it!
