  1. Wash the beef brisket and cut into small pieces (about 4~5cm long).

  2. Slice ginger, crush garlic, cut onions into sections, and set aside star anise.

  3. Peel the radish and cut into cubes.

  4. Add cold water to the pot, add a few slices of ginger, add the beef brisket, bring to a boil over high heat, boil for one minute and remove the beef brisket.

  5. After the casserole is heated, add an appropriate amount of oil. When it is 50% hot, add the green onions, ginger slices, garlic and star anise and saute until fragrant.

  6. Pour in the beef brisket and stir-fry until the water in the beef brisket is dry.

  7. Add a little cooking wine, half a bowl of light soy sauce and a little dark soy sauce, and continue to stir-fry until the beef brisket is fully colored.

  8. Add hot water (the amount of water should cover two fingers of beef brisket), cover, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for an hour.

  9. Add the radish and continue to simmer for about 15 minutes. Add salt and a little sugar to thicken the sauce and reduce the juice over high heat.

  10. Arrange on a plate and sprinkle with chopped green onion.
