Cheese Sweet Potato Balls
Overview
I took advantage of my free time today to clean up the kitchen and the refrigerator. I saw that the sweet potatoes and glutinous rice flour I brought back from my hometown were not used up, so I tried to get rid of them. When I had free time, I started tinkering with making snacks. I made a cheese sweet potato ball, which was particularly soft, glutinous, and sweet. Recommended to everyone~

Steps
-
Prepare ingredients: sweet potatoes, glutinous rice flour, sugar, cheese.
-
Peel and wash sweet potatoes and purple potatoes, and cut into thin slices.
-
Steam in a steamer over water. (About 12 minutes)
-
Cut the cheese cubes into strips and then into large pieces.
-
Seal with plastic wrap and place in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator to prevent melting. (Take it out when needed)
-
Pour the steamed sweet potatoes into a basin, mash them with a masher, and add sugar and glutinous rice flour while they are still hot.
-
Knead it into a large dough (knead it a few times to make it more chewy)
-
Divide into small balls of the same size.
-
Use your thumb to flatten the center to form a small dimple and add cheese cubes.
-
Wrap up the four sides and close the mouth.
-
Heat enough oil in the pot.
-
When the oil bubbles, put down the wrapped sweet potato balls and fry over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
-
Fry the sweet potato balls until the surface is brown, then scoop them out.
-
Use kitchen oil-absorbing paper to absorb excess oil. Let’s get started!
