Soak the glutinous rice in advance for at least 4 hours; (I start soaking it after lunch and use it when cooking in the evening.)

Chop onions, ginger, potatoes and carrots into mince; dice salted egg yolk, size according to preference;

Add the minced onions, ginger, potatoes and carrots to the minced pork and stir, then add an appropriate amount of salt, sugar and oil to taste and stir evenly; (you can add some other seasonings according to your preference)

Drain the water from the glutinous rice; take an appropriate amount of the mixed minced meat, wrap a piece of salted egg yolk in the middle, roll it back and forth into a round shape; then evenly coat the outer layer with glutinous rice;

After it is done, put it into the rice cooker to steam it while the rice is cooking. When the rice is cooked, the meatballs are also ready. (If you cook it separately in a pot over water, it will take about 30 minutes.)
