Overview

These are several styles of steamed buns that are steamed together with the checkerboard steamed buns. This recipe includes two styles - gyro bean paste buns and two-color stick rolls. For the dough method, please refer to the 'Checkers Steamed Buns' recipe.

  1. I have made three kinds of steamed buns before, and the remaining dough is not weighed. They look about the same. I use one piece each of purple dough and white dough.

  2. Knead evenly and roll into dough.

  4. Cut into rounds of about one centimeter. Press flat.

  5. Prepare bean paste filling.

  6. Put the cut round slices one by one with bean paste filling and wrap them with the tiger's mouth.

  7. Turn it over and it becomes a small top with different patterns. Let rise for 10 minutes.

  8. If there is too much purple noodles in the remaining noodles, divide the excess noodles into two pieces and mix them into 3 pieces respectively.

  9. Three pieces of dough are stacked. (Note that for this superposition, you need to brush a layer of water on the dough sheet to make the dough sheet stick together)

  10. Cut the stacked dough sheets into long strips. The width is up to you to decide.
