Sauce-flavored Crispy Pancakes
Overview
After a round of crazy baking battles, I recently fell in love with steamed buns, steamed buns, and pancakes. Cantonese people don’t like to eat pasta very much, so it’s good to change the taste for family members from time to time.

Put all the main ingredients except boiling water into the bread machine bucket, and then stir quickly with chopsticks while pouring in the boiling water.

After mixing the hot noodles, directly install the bucket into the bread machine and knead the dough. Set the custom kneading program for 10 minutes and knead until the dough is smooth.

Divide the kneaded dough into 60g portions, cover with a plastic bag and rest for 20 minutes.

While the noodles are resting, use a bowl to add the soy sauce, five-spice powder, salad dressing, chili powder, etc. in the ingredients section and mix thoroughly and set aside.

Roll out the rested dough, and try to make it as thin as possible. It doesn't matter if the shape is not round enough, because there is still shaping to be done later.

Roll out the dough and use a brush to apply the sauce you just prepared. Remember to leave a little edge without applying the sauce.

After brushing the sauce, use a small knife to cut into strips as shown. Remember that the edges are connected, only cut the part with sauce and cannot be cut off.

Then gently roll up the dough with both hands until it becomes a long strip without closing the edge. Remember the entire production process. Sprinkle some dry powder on the table to prevent sticking. The amount of dry powder is not included in the main ingredients and is added separately.

After rolling it into a long strip, roll it into a ball from left to right. Remember that the two ends should be tucked into the bottom and not exposed.

After forming into a ball, gently press it to the side and roll it into a cake shape. The shortbread embryo is ready.

Preheat the pan and brush both sides with oil. There should be more oil. Remember to fry the pancake in cold oil while the pan is hot. Turn over once in the middle. Because it is cold oil, you don’t need to add water. The pancake will not burn until it is cooked (I missed taking a picture of this step).

The fried pancakes are spread lightly with chopsticks, and when you take a bite, your mouth is filled with the aroma of crispy sauce.
