Glutinous rice and yam rolls
Overview
I bought some Tiegun yam at home and ate it in soup a few times. I still have some left over to make some desserts. Tiegun yam is a precious Chinese herbal medicine. Because its skin contains rust color, it is called Tiegun yam. It has been highly praised by doctors in the past dynasties and praised by the world as a longevity factor. It is a good medicine and delicacy that can be used both as medicine and food. This dessert is purely homemade. I followed my own feelings. I didn’t know what it would taste like at the time. After making it, I tasted a piece. It was soft, glutinous and sweet, with the rustling texture of yam in the middle. Not to mention how delicious it was~~~~~

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare the ingredients (I forgot to take the glutinous rice flour)
-
Peel the yam and cut it into sections, steam it in a steamer for about 20 minutes
-
Mix glutinous rice flour and wheat starch, add sugar
-
Pour boiling water into the powder and stir continuously with chopsticks until there is no dry powder left
-
Knead it into a smooth dough
-
Find a flat plate, brush it with oil to prevent sticking, flatten the dough and put it into the plate
-
Then put it into the steamer and steam for 10 minutes
-
At this time, put the steamed yam into a plastic bag and crush it with a spoon into a puree
-
After the dough is steamed, place the dough in plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to roll it into a rectangular shape
-
Then spread the crushed yam on the dough and flatten slightly
-
Then spread another layer of blueberry jam on the yam (don’t spread it on the edges, otherwise it will leak out when rolled up)
-
Roll into a cylinder
-
Cut into sections and serve immediately. You can also add a little osmanthus sauce to make the taste even sweeter
