Homemade red bean paste

Homemade red bean paste

Overview

I originally planned to go to the supermarket to buy red bean paste buns, but when I got home, I found that I forgot to buy them. I happened to have red beans at home, so I made them myself. Homemade bean paste is safe and has no additives, so it is practical and reliable.

Steps

  1. Wash 300g red adzuki beans twice and put them into the pressure cooker

  2. Add 2 times the amount of water and soak it in advance. I soaked it at night and made it early in the morning. This way the beans will rot easily. After the pressure cooker is boiled, cook for 8 minutes

  3. After boiling the pot, let the steam subside and let the pot cool down

  4. After cooling, put it in a food processor and beat until thin. If you don't like it too fine, you can beat it once less. I made it fine and beat it twice to beat all the bean paste.

  5. Weigh out the sugar. If you like it sweet, you can add more sugar. If you don’t like it, you can add less. I added 120 grams and it tastes good

  6. Put peanut oil in the pot. My spoon is about 50 grams. I didn’t weigh it. Heat the oil and put the bean paste into the pot

  7. Add a piece of sugar and stir constantly, otherwise it will become sticky

  8. When the oil is heated and dries quickly, it will easily splash onto your hands. Please pay attention to your safety

  9. Keep stirring until it feels thick but not greasy. If you like it dry, you can stir fry it again. I don't like it too dry, so this is fine

  10. Take it out of the pot and let it cool before you use it, or you can eat it directly
