Overview

Chicken feet with pickled peppers is my favorite. I used to buy them from the supermarket and eat them on an empty stomach, but since my son showed me a video of a black workshop making chicken feet, I have never eaten it again. But I always miss its tempting taste. Now I finally found how to make it online, and I couldn’t wait to make it in the middle of the night! Just waiting to eat it tomorrow!

  1. Wash the purchased chicken feet, remove the toenails, and then cut them open to facilitate the flavoring.

  2. Prepare onion segments, ginger slices, garlic cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon and star anise

  3. Put the chicken feet and various seasonings into the cooking pot and cook over high heat for about ten minutes. The time can be customized. If you like it crispier, take less time, but be sure not to overcook it.

  4. After cooking, take it out, wash it in cold water, and then brew it in running water for one and a half to two hours. You can also soak it in cold water, but the water must be changed frequently, preferably every 20 minutes. This step is critical.

  5. Pour the prepared pickled peppers and pepper water into a slightly larger container. You can add some cold water, a small amount of white vinegar or rice vinegar, a small amount of salt, chicken essence, and white sugar. It can be adjusted according to personal taste. If you are used to spicy food, you can also cut the pickled peppers.

  6. Pour in the brewed chicken feet and mix well. It is better to submerge the chicken feet and pickled peppers so that the flavor can be thoroughly absorbed.

  7. Finally wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator. It can be eaten after four or five hours. If you want it to be more delicious, you can wait one to two days before eating.
