Patterned toast is the joy of winter
Overview
Christmas is the most anticipated holiday in the cold winter. When I was a child, I always dreamed that Santa Claus would come to my house one day. Every Christmas, I would pester my parents for gifts. My mother always tells me with a smile, go to sleep, baby, as soon as you wake up tomorrow morning, Santa Claus’s gift will be delivered. Although I knew the gift was from my parents, I still took a pair of socks and put them on the bedside at night. Wake up in the morning with a surprise gift stuffed in your stocking! I cheered like a happy bird: Long live Santa Claus! I was silently grateful to my parents for their care and love.

Ingredients to prepare: high-gluten flour: 315g, milk: 147g, fine sugar: 45g, unsalted butter: 45g, egg liquid (for kneading the dough): 53g, yeast: 5g, salt: 3g, egg liquid (for brushing the dough): appropriate amount, red yeast powder (for decoration): appropriate amount, powdered sugar (for decoration): appropriate amount, equipment used: Bai Cui PE9600WT bread machine: 1
-
Put the ingredients except butter into the bread bucket in sequence, with the liquid ingredients first and then the flour.
-
After pouring in the flour, add yeast and salt diagonally on top of the flour. The purpose of this is to prevent direct contact between salt and yeast and destroy yeast activity.
-
After all the ingredients are put in, start the dough mixing process. My bread machine is the Petri PE9600WT high-end cloud smart bread machine. Select menu 18, customize the dough kneading program, and set the time to 20 minutes.
-
At the end of the program, pour in the room temperature melted butter.
-
Start menu 16 dough kneading program, the default time is 33 minutes.
-
After the program is finished, let it rest for a short while so that the dough can pull out a film that is not easy to break.
-
Take out the mixing blade of the bread machine, roll the dough into a ball and place it in the bread machine.
-
Select menu 20 fermentation program to ferment.
-
The default fermentation time of the program is 2 hours. Fermentation time is not static and will vary with seasonal temperatures. But you can grasp the key points by observing the state of the dough. When the dough has risen to 2-2.5 times its original size. We dip our fingers in a little flour and poke the dough. When the dough does not shrink or collapse, it means it has risen just right. If it shrinks, it proves that it has not been sent enough, and if it collapses, it proves that it has been sent too much.
-
After the fermented dough is deflated, divide it into 17 equal parts. Roll the dough into balls, cover with plastic wrap and rest for 10 minutes.
-
As shown in the picture, lay out the first layer of 5 dough balls.
-
As shown in the picture, lay out the second layer of 4 dough balls.
-
As shown in the picture, lay out the third layer with 4 pieces of dough.
-
Take 1 piece of dough and make Santa’s face.
-
Take 1 piece of dough and make a Santa hat. Roll the dough used to make the hat into a round piece, not too thick around it. Roll up one side to form the brim.
-
Place the hat on your face, covering about a quarter of your face, and fold the two ends of the brim back to secure it to the back of your face.
-
Take 1 piece of dough and make a long beard of Santa Claus. Roll the beard dough into an oval shape.
-
Spread a thin layer of flour on the upward side and fold it in half. Use a knife to cut out thin strips perpendicular to the fold line, leaving one side uncut. Pull up a thin strip and twist it in a spiral shape from the beginning to the end. Each one is made in the same way, and Santa's beard will be formed.
-
Use the last piece of dough to make a hat ball, a nose and two moustache. Assemble these accessories. You can apply a little water to fix it.
-
Place Santa Claus in the middle position for secondary fermentation.
-
When the bread dough has fermented to about 70-80% full, brush a layer of egg wash on the surface of the bread dough.
-
You can add red yeast powder to the last remaining egg liquid, mix thoroughly, and brush it on Santa's hat.
-
Select menu 26 baking program, medium color, start baking, the default time is 30 minutes. My toast took 35 minutes for medium color and 10 minutes for dark color. The color of the finished product is very beautiful. During the baking process, you can turn on the light to observe the color of the toast through the observation window, and adjust the time and baking time according to your own preferred color.
-
After the program is completed, remove the film. Use a food coloring pen to draw the eyes. If you don't have a coloring pen, you can use melted chocolate to draw them. Then sift the powdered sugar on Santa's beard. A energetic and energetic Santa Claus will appear in front of us.
-
Snowflakes are blowing in the wind, deer are running, and Santa Claus is driving a beautiful sleigh. After passing the wilderness and passing the small bridge, the singing of peace and joy came safely. The man in red clothes and hat had white eyebrows and white hair and beard, and he brought a large package of gifts.
-
Passing through the forest and across the ocean, the singing of peace and joy arrived safely. The jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle is so loud, look at how kind his face is despite the wind and frost. Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding bell is so loud, it brings us happiness and everyone is happy.
