I have eaten Luo Han Zhai in Guangdong before, and one of the main dishes was white fungus, which was delicious. I have fried lean meat with white fungus at home, and it is also very delicious. Today I made pork ribs soup with white fungus and carrots, but today I bought young carrots for stir-frying. The taste of the soup is not as good as the big carrots used for soup in Guangdong. The soup made from carrots has a slightly sweet taste. Nowadays, rice cookers are really convenient for making soup.

Soak the dried white fungus in advance, and it is best to change the water several times in between. The weather is hot now, so it will be ready soon.

Pick off the soaked white fungus and tear it into small florets.

Wash the ribs and blanch them in cold water over medium heat.

Add an appropriate amount of water to the rice cooker. I usually have enough water for three people and five rice bowls. Add a few slices of ginger and start boiling the water.

Wash the carrots and cut into pieces.

Cook the pork ribs until the foam no longer increases significantly, then turn off the heat, take them out and rinse them with hot water.

Then put the ribs, white fungus, and carrots into the pot and cook the soup menu.
