Matcha pattern chiffon cake

I tried making a patterned cake with matcha powder. Although it didn’t look very good, it was still delicious.

Separate egg white and yolk

Add 30g of water (can also be milk or yogurt) and 30g of corn oil to the egg yolk liquid and mix well

Sift in cake flour

Mix well and divide into 2 portions

Add 5g matcha powder to one portion

Add 2 drops of white vinegar to the egg whites, add sugar in three batches and use an electric beater until the eggs are frothy with a wet hair dryer

The test method is to insert a chopstick into the meringue and if it can stand upright without falling over, it means it has been whipped in place

First take a small amount of meringue and put it into the egg yolk paste and matcha paste respectively

Mix well

Then add the remaining meringue evenly to the two egg liquids

Then pour the matcha egg liquid into the egg yolk liquid

Mix evenly

Pour into the mold and smooth the surface

Bake in the oven at 150 degrees for 60 minutes

Take it out and place it upside down on the baking sheet to unmold, the matcha pattern cake is successfully done
