Soak mung beans for three hours in advance

Add water to the pot to cover the mung beans by about 5cm, and cook over medium heat until the mung beans crack

Change to a larger pot and add enough water to boil, then wash the rice and stir it in with the mung beans

Bring the rice to a boil over medium heat, add an appropriate amount of sugar and serve
