A good companion for summer meals – cold dishes
Overview
Unknowingly, we have entered the second half of the year, and Beijing is experiencing hot temperatures one after another. The air conditioners are turned on every day in our homes and offices, and we still feel unbearably hot. The appetite naturally begins to wane. Cold dishes are not exclusive to summer, but they must be the most popular appetizers and side dishes in summer. Sometimes I am lazy and often go to the supermarket next door after get off work to pack some cold dishes to take home to eat, but the food I buy outside always tastes like gutter oil. I don’t know if it’s my mind. Just do it yourself, it's cheap and safe. Any vegetable can be used to make salads. If you don’t want to bother with the boiling step, you can choose green leafy vegetables that can be eaten raw, such as lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, peanuts... Now I want to eat white fungus and yuba. Many people will also eat them directly by soaking them in water, but for hygiene reasons, I blanch them specially. Added kelp shreds. You can also add some cucumber slices, soaked peanuts, etc. to match. The more varieties, the better.
