Purple sweet potato toast
Overview
I steamed some purple sweet potatoes today just to make purple sweet potato toast. Instead of using milk, I added some milk powder. Because I was worried that too much purple sweet potato would affect the taste of the bread, I didn’t add much. The finished product was not purple, but a light pink. The toast was soft and not bad. The pink and somewhat romantic toast is also very good to pack and give as a gift.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Crush the steamed purple sweet potato into a puree. It should be pressed more delicately. The finer the better
-
Put all the ingredients in the main ingredient into the bread machine
-
Stir it with chopsticks first to check whether it is soft and hard. Because purple sweet potatoes have different water contents, there will be differences
-
Then start the dough mixing program
-
After 10 minutes add butter. I put the butter on the radiator to soften it, and it melted a lot. In order to better absorb it, I tore the dough apart before adding the butter
-
The dough mixing process is over, the dough has expanded, and the glove film can be pulled out
-
Cover with plastic wrap and ferment until 2-3 times in size
-
Divide the exhaust into 3 portions, cover with a cloth and let sit for 10 minutes
-
Knead the dough into long strips
-
braid
-
Place into toast mold
-
Keep warm and moisturized and ferment until 80% full
-
Cover the lid, preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5 minutes, place on the lower shelf, and bake for 35 minutes
-
When taking out the baked toast, shake it on the stove so that the toast will not dent
-
Unmold and let cool before slicing
-
If you want to give it to someone, just wrap it in a toast bag. It’s a very nice gift, and it’s made by yourself!
-
Slice it and add eggs, ham, and vegetables to make breakfast for your children. It is convenient, nutritious, and delicious.
