Rose sesame cold cake
Overview
Sesame cold cake tastes cool, sweet and extremely refreshing. Pastries made from sugar, bean paste, glutinous rice and other ingredients are iced and then cut into pieces to become sesame cold cake. It is one of the summer snacks to relieve the heat. The sesame cold cake in Xi'an Huimin Street is even more unique with the unique rose sauce added to it.

Wash the glutinous rice, soak it for 4 hours, steam it and set aside.

Steam the glutinous rice and let it cool, then place the glutinous rice on clean gauze. (Soak the gauze with water)

Knead repeatedly on the chopping board until it becomes a paste.

Crush the cooked sesame seeds and cooked peanuts with a rolling pin and set aside.

Take a piece of kneaded glutinous rice and spread it on the sesame and peanut chips.

Spread the red bean paste flat and place it on the kneaded glutinous rice.

Spread the other half of the kneaded glutinous rice on top.

Sprinkle the sesame seeds and peanuts evenly on top.

Cut the cold cake into pieces.

Add 2 tablespoons of rose sauce, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir evenly and pour it on top. You can also eat it as a dip.
