Sishen Yam Soup
Overview
During Grain Rain, the temperature rises rapidly, rainfall gradually increases, and humidity increases. It is said that this solar term focuses on strengthening the spleen. I saw a spleen-building Sishen soup and a pork ribs soup. It is said that Sishen Decoction is a famous spleen-strengthening recipe in traditional Chinese medicine. The four gods refer to barley, lotus seeds, gorgon fruit and poria cocos. The seemingly ordinary ingredients can complement each other when brought together. The resulting soup has many benefits for the human body, such as strengthening the spleen, nourishing the skin, and reducing dryness. Sishen Spare Ribs Soup is the Sishen plus dried yam tablets, cooked together with the pork ribs. But I am not interested in the ribs, so I remove the ribs and beat them with Sishen and yam. Although it is recommended to use dried yam for each ingredient, the dried yam tablets are still replaced with fresh iron bar yam. Without it, there is more of this thing to be consumed.
