Christmas golden bread
Overview
There is a kind of holiday bread called golden bread at Christmas. It is named after it contains a lot of fat, sugar and egg liquid, and the finished product is golden in color. I did not follow the high-oil and high-sugar formula, but replaced it with healthy pumpkin puree to create a golden color. The formula is healthy, tastes good, and the color is still beautiful. Haha, this is a healthy version of the Chinese formula for holiday bread. The bread is medium-sized and contains pumpkin puree. The bread is very soft and delicious.

Ingredients
Steps
-
To make Zhongzhong, the main ingredient list shows the ingredients for Zhongzhong. Choose pumpkins that are dark yellow in color for both deliciousness and color. Steam the pumpkin and then puree it in a food processor
-
Use your own rice wine to make natural yeast.
-
Pour rice wine, milk and pumpkin puree into a basin
-
Add 300 grams of flour and mix into a thick paste
-
Keep at 30 degrees and ferment until doubled in size. In winter, I always keep warm for fermentation, and it basically takes one and a half hours to complete the fermentation
-
Next, make the dough: add sugar, salt and eggs to the fermented Chinese batter
-
Add the remaining flour and baking powder, knead by hand into a dough and then put it into the bread machine. Because the water content of pumpkin puree varies greatly, you must manually adjust the softness and hardness before putting it into the bread machine
-
Start a dough kneading program, add softened butter, and start another dough kneading program
-
When the dough reaches the expansion stage, you can pull out the glove film
-
Use the rising process to ferment the dough until it doubles in size.
-
Let the fermented dough deflate and rest for 15 minutes. This amount made more than a dozen large and small ones
-
Shape the relaxed dough into a round shape, use chopsticks to make a hole in the middle, and shake the chopsticks to make the hole bigger
-
Then put it into a hollow mold and let it ferment again. Because there is a lot of flour, I also made some round and long ones.
-
Send it to the oven to keep warm, moisturize and ferment
-
Ferment until doubled in size
-
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees for 3 minutes and bake for 12 minutes
-
Take out the baked bread and unmold it in time.
-
After unmolding the bread, you can sprinkle it with some powdered sugar. I sprinkled it with the remaining powdered sugar from the candied ginger slices I made at home, and it still has a strong ginger flavor. This healthy, delicious, golden bread is ready
